Cody Frye:
At 30 years old I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Southern Indiana. While attending USI I focused my attention on obtaining knowledge and skills to train a wide variety of people towards their individual goals. Then during my last 2 years I was one of the founders of the USI Olympic Weightlifting Club, and acted as the treasurer, president, and exercise programmer during my time there. I further added to this after being given the opportunity to be the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the USI Women’s Tennis team during the 2014-2015 season.
In 2015 I start working full time as a personal trainer, and since joining The Pit Barbell Club in 2017 I have fallen in love with powerlifting. I have competed several times in Raw and Multi-Ply, and enjoy the extreme challenge it brings. However, that doesn’t mean it’s all about the big weights; throughout this entire process my goal has been to teach people healthy movement patterns and correct muscular imbalances in order to assist people in living the life they want to live. This has led me to have a very thorough understanding of the core exercises, which, in combination with my ability to explain complex concepts, has given me the ability to help people move and feel better. Whether that person is a 90 year old woman in assisted living, a high level athlete, or someone that is just getting started in the exercise world. I have the background and abilities to help you reach your fitness goals safely and effectively.
